Why End Grain?
Self-Healing Fibers
Instead of cutting across the wood fibers, yourknife slips between them. The fibers close backup, preserving the beauty of the board for years.
Edge Protection
This is the kindest surface for your kitchen knives.The vertical orientation prevents the edge fromdulling as quickly as edge-grain or plastic.
Are These Colors Real?
Yes. No stains, no dyes. We use the natural
chemical properties of exotic woods like
Padauk (red) and Purpleheart (violet) to
create our palettes.

We don't do SKUs. We name every piece like a child or a building. When a board is sold, its name is retired from our catalog forever.

The Care Guide
A high-end board is an heirloom. Maintain it with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax once a month to keep the moisture out and the soul in.
