Balance matters
A mallet that’s head-heavy or handle-heavyfights you on every stroke. These arebalanced to a specific point — typically 40-50mm back from the head — so the tooldisappears in your hand and the work stays infocus.
Laminated heads absorb shock
Multiple species glued in alternating grain directions distribute impact forces across the head instead of concentrating them. Less vibration, longer tool life, less fatigue in your
hands over a long session.
They get better with use
Hardwood develops a patina. The faces of the head polish from contact. The handle wears to fit your grip. These tools age in, not out.
